Endangered animals news for Last Chance To See by Douglas Adams, Mark Carwardine and Stephen Fry

In the late 1980s, Douglas Adams, creator of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", and zoologist Mark Carwardine visited endangered animals around the world, hoping it would not be their "Last Chance To See". A BBC radio series and book followed, and beginning September 6th, 2009, a TV series sequel featuring Stephen Fry and Mark Carwardine was broadcast on BBC2.

Awards for Kakapo Film

Many congratulations to Scott Mouat for winning numerous awards at the Documentary Edge Festival 2010. Scott's film "The Unnatural History of the Kakapo", will be available for purchase on DVD later this year. Scott kindly sent me an advance copy earlier in the year, and I can promise you it will be worth the wait.

Scoop reports that the film won four awards: "Best NZ Feature Documentary", "Best NZ Sound", "Best NZ Cinematography" and "Best NZ Director".
